Day 1 Reach Thailand
- We took an early morning flight from Delhi, India, and reached our hotel in Bangkok by 4:30 PM (Thailand time).
- Checked in at Ambassador Hotel.
- Booked a taxi through Grab App to reach Icon Siam Mall. We went on a dinner Cruise with Chao Phraya Princess. Mail them to reservations@chaophrayaprincess.com to book yours. It cost around THB 1200 with a dinner buffet and a 2-hour cruise ride on the Chao Phraya River. It starts around 7:00 PM.
- After coming back visit Khao San Night Market. It is best on weekends.
Day 2 Explore Bangkok
- After breakfast, we went for a water limousine tour on Chao Phraya Tour with Supatra Boat Service. On this tour, we wandered through the old canals of Bangkok. People of Bangkok still stay in houses located through the canals. We made three stops along the route. One at an old temple, 2nd at a local market, and 3rd at a beautiful green cafe. We spotted many Monitor Lizards as long as 1.5 m throughout our journey and it was a delight for us and the family to see such giant creatures. It cost around 700 THB (approx INR 1700).
- After lunch, we visited Royal Palace which has buildings, all beautifully decorated with gold and diamonds in different colors in the traditional-Bangkok style. The palace itself is quite beautiful with ornately carved rooftops, statues, and impressive size, but you can’t enter most of the buildings, so the real star is the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.
- Checked in at Sindhorn Midtown hotel. We had Thai Dinner at the restaurant of Sindhorn Midtown hotel.
- Then we visited Siam Paragon Mall.
Day 3 Reach Krabi
- Visit Lumpini Park in the morning. It is just 5 minutes from Sindhorn Midtown.
- We took a flight from Bangkok’s Domestic Airport (DMK) to Krabi.
- Reached Krabi around lunch and checked in at Ananta Burin Resort.
- Visited Nopparat Thara Beach which is famous for its sunset.
- Indian Dinner at the hotel
- Visit Landmark night market. The market has shopping and eating options (very few vegetarian options). When we visited, a fire show was going on and it was a delight to watch.
Day 4 Explore Krabi
- After breakfast, we went on the 4 Islands Tour. We booked it through Anda Krabi Sea Tour (by emailing them at info@andakrabiseatour.com). It cost around 1750 THB per person including Hotel Transfer, Speed Boat, Lunch (picnic), Fruit, Water, Life Jacket, Mask Snorkel, Insurance & Experienced licensed guide. - Lunch at Rasoi Magic in Ao Nang Market, Krabi.
- Visit Klong root which is a clear water canal. Kayaking and swimming can be done here. Hiring a kayak costs around 200-400 THB (depending upon whether you take the guide along or not)
- Foot massage at Soofa Massage in Krabi.
- Visit Ao Nang Beach and Ao Nang night market.
- Dinner at the hotel
Day 5 Reach Phuket
- Early morning hike to Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea) in Krabi. The Tiger Cave Temple is a Buddhist temple. A sacred site, it is known for the tiger paw prints in the cave, tall Buddha statues, and the strenuous flight of stairs (around 1200) to reach the summit.
- Ferry from Krabi to Phuket. Book it from Koh Yao Sun Smile Tour by directly messaging them on what’s app at +66-994791410. You can book it online through websites like klook etc.
- Stay in Sunwing Bangtao Beach Resort.
- Visit Bangla Night Market
- Dinner at Indian Oriental Kitchen near Bangla Night Market.
- If time permits watch a night show in Carnival Magic Phuket (https://carnivalmagic.fun/). Prebook to plan in advance as the Carnival Magic is open only on some days in a week.
Day 6 Explore Phuket
- Visit Wat Chalong. It is the most important and largest Buddhist temple in Phuket.
- Visit Big Buddha. It is a seated Buddha Statue in Phuket. The panoramic views of Phuket from here are breathtaking.
- Visit Old Phuket Town. Exploring old Phuket town is like walking amid historical architecture, the most beautiful cafes that you have ever seen, and a vibrant market.
- Lunch at Efe Old town in Old Phuket Town. It is a Turkish café and its ambiance will give you the total vibes of being in Istanbul. Loved the food here.
- Watch the Dolphin show. It is one of the best shows that we have ever watched. You can take the tickets from the venue itself. We booked it beforehand by emailing them at rsvn1.dolphinsbay@gmail.com. It ranges between THB 700-1200 depending on the row you choose. As the auditorium is not very big, the show is clearly visible from the last row as well.
- Indy night market. It is a relatively small market but offers nice shopping and eating options (very few vegetarian options though). When we visited, an open-air singing program was going on. Grab a beer and ease into the place. The overall vibes of the place are nice.
- Dinner at the hotel.
Day 7 Back to Bangkok
- Early morning flight from Phuket to Bangkok.
- Checked in at Montien Surawong Hotel.
- Visit Wat Pho. It is one of the oldest temples in Bangkok and is famous for its reclining Buddha Statue. The ticket to Wat Pho cost 200 THB per person.
- Visit China Town Market. It is like a culinary feast. It is one of the biggest food markets in the World. It is a food heaven not only for non-vegetarians but vegetarians and vegans as well. It is the only market in Thailand where we found loads of vegetarian options.
- Dinner at Hotel Royal India. The parents were craving some Indian food and this place exceeded their expectations. The crispiest breads and delicious North Indian food here make you feel like having a meal in India itself. It is not very big but we found it clean and nice.
- Visit Chatuchak Market. It is a must-visit market in Bangkok if you are a shopaholic or want to take gifts for friends and families back home. Chatuchak Weekend Market is so huge covering more than 1km with 15,000 stalls clothes, household products, souvenirs, and artworks. We found it to be the most economical of all the markets we visited in Thailand. The Chatuchak is open only on weekends, from 9:00 to 18:00 on Saturdays and Sundays, and from 18:00 to 24:00 on Fridays.
Day 8 Journey back home or Journey ahead in Thailand
- Visit Wat Arun. It is another Buddhist temple in Bangkok whose architecture will give you goosebumps. We visited it early in the morning (it opens at 8:00 AM) and there was hardly anyone around during that time.
- Visit Sky Walk at Mahanakon Towers. It is the tallest building in Thailand. The view of the entire Bangkok from the top of the building is just breathtaking. There is a café and a skywalk terrace on the top. There is a ticket to the building which is around THB 800 (INR 1900). We found it to be a must-do experience in Thailand.
- After this, the parents caught a flight back to India.

Day 9 Explore Chiang Mai
- Early morning, go for a Jungle trekking experience with Chiangmai Jungle Trekking. We did an Elephant walking tour with them. It involves observing the elephants in their natural environment, feeding them if you wish, and going trekking with them through the rainforest. Get close to these amazing creatures but in an ethical and eco-friendly manner. It cost around THB 2200 including lunch, water rafting with a waterfall visit, and transportation to and from your place of stay.
- Stay at Stay with Nimman in Nimman area of Chiang Mai.
- Explore the Nimman area which includes pubs and malls.
Day 10 Reaching Chiang Rai
- Visit Doi Suthep Temple and Chiang Mai Canal Market.
- Head to Chiang Rai by bus.
- Stay at Museflower Retreat.
Day 11 An ultimate Spa experience in Chiang Rai
- Have an ultimate spa and nature experience with Museflower in Chiang Rai.
Day 12 Explore Chiang Rai
- Head to Chiang Rai’s main town and stay at the Riverie by Katathani.
- Visit Blue temple, White temple, Black House, Singha Park, and Chiang Rai night market.
Day 13 Explore Chiang Rai
- Visit Tham Khao Luang Cave,
- Visit the Golden triangle to see the border of Laos and Myanmar,
- Visit the northernmost part of Thailand Mae Sai, the border of Thailand and Myanmar.
- Visit the long neck tribe in Chiang Rai
Day 14 Journey back home
- Early morning flight to Bangkok from Chiang Rai
- Flight back home from Bangkok
