Where to stay in Bangkok
We stayed in Bangkok for a total of 3 Nights. On all days, we stayed in different hotels as we wanted to feel the vibes of different areas in Bangkok.
Stay 1: Ambassador Hotel Bangkok
For our first day in Bangkok, we wanted to stay in its heart to soak in the vibes of Bangkok’s vibrant nightlife, so we chose the Ambassador Hotel in the Sukhumvit Area of Bangkok.
Equipped with all the modern amenities and comfort, the Ambassador hotel is a 4-star property. Right from the lobby to the rooms, its grandeur is something our family loved. Our parents stayed in their suite room and it was their best experience staying in a hotel so far. The ambiance of the rooms, their services, the breakfast buffet, the facilities – everything is top-notch.
We are vegetarians and requested them beforehand over email for a vegetarian meal and they took good care of it by presenting a vegetarian meal in the Thai way.
It is within walking distance from BTS Skytrain Station (Nana Plaza) which is one of the most vibrant areas of Bangkok.
You can book it online through sites like Agoda or mail them to rsvbkk@amtel.co.th to book your stay with them.
We booked the hotel via communication over email (ask for the best/ discounted price) and got a good deal for September (shoulder season in Thailand). It costs us around INR 3500 per night.
Stay 2: Sindhorn Midtown Bangkok
Sindhorn Midtown hotel is located in the neighborhood of Langsuan with easy access to both business and leisure spots in Bangkok.
It felt like home the moment we entered this beautiful hotel due to their smiling, helpful and friendly staff. We enjoyed the welcome drinks until they completed the check-in process. The rooms are modern, highly aesthetic, and super comfy. What caught our hearts was their terrace infinity pool with a mesmerizing view of Bangkok.
Their restaurant has a vintage feel. We beforehand (over email) told them that we are vegetarians, so they took special care of it and prepared vegetarian Thai dishes for us. Their breakfast buffet had plenty of vegetarian dishes (various kinds of Yogurts, fruits, mueslis, cheese, bread, salad, crisp potato tikkis, Chinese crisp donuts, fried rice, pancakes, and many more) and they even prepared vegetarian sandwiches, especially for us. The staff guided us through every dish and made sure we had a good time at the breakfast. They even have confectionery shops, cafes, and amusement parks in their premises.
You can book it online through sites like Agoda or mail them to stay.sindhornmidtown@ihg.com to book your stay with them.
Their rooms start from INR 8000 per night(offseason/ Shoulder season).
Stay 3: Montien Surawong hotel
We stayed in the Montien Surawong hotel on our last day in Bangkok. We were traveling from Phuket to Bangkok and were a bit tired from the journey. But the moment we entered the Montien hotel our energy changed. The staff is ultra energetic and welcoming. Equipped with all the modern amenities, this 5-star hotel has spacious rooms and the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on. It is located in the Silom area and many of the attractions of Bangkok are nearby which is an add-on considering the traffic of Bangkok at peak hours. Also, the metro is just within the walking distance from here. The in-house restaurant of the hotel is aesthetically marvelous and serves a delicious breakfast buffet.
You can book it online through sites like Agoda or mail them to info@montienbangkok.com to book your stay with them.
Their rooms start from INR 8500 per night (with breakfast)(offseason/ Shoulder season).
Where to stay in Krabi
In Krabi, we stayed in the Ao Nang area in Ananta Burin Resort and loved it very much.
With just 5 minutes’ walking distance from Ao Nang beach and the market but still away from the entire hustle and bustle, the location of the resort can not be better than this. The rooms are super airy and comfy. Our parents loved the ambiance and decor of the rooms. The balcony area opens up to the view of their swimming area and is a perfect time to spend leisure time. There are two swimming areas in the resort. One is quiet and the other has slides and a bar with underwater sitting. The resort is well-maintained and its hospitality is top-notch.
We loved their restaurant which is by the road and gives a feeling of being outdoors. And the cherry on the cake is that they will arrange authentic Indian food for you if told beforehand. Tuktuk rides, Scooter rental, and massage services are available just outside the resort.
You can book it online through sites like Agoda or mail them to reservation@anantaburinresort.com to book your stay with them.
We booked it for INR 3000 per night (with breakfast)(offseason/ Shoulder season).
Where to stay in Phuket
In Phuket, we stayed at Sunwing Bangtao Beach Resort. Away from the hustle and bustle, Sunwing Bangtao Beach Resort is a quiet, beautiful resort where you can spend some quality time with nature and yourself.
We stayed in their Royal suite rooms that opened up to the Swimming pool. Our parents used to have tea in the room balcony area with a view to the swimming pool and that was their best time.
The best thing we liked is their Beachfront in-house restaurant(The Piak’s Kitchen). The chef at the restaurant will move every tooth and nail to serve the best food on your table. With such finger-licking food, a view of a gorgeous Bangtao beach, and the sound of ocean waves, it feels like you are having the best time of your life. At least we felt it that way.
