- From Ajmer (11 km): Pushkar is very close to Ajmer, and a quick taxi or auto ride will get you to Pushkar in about 20-30 minutes.
- From Delhi (400 km): Delhi to Pushkar is about a 7-8 hour drive by car. You can also take a bus from Delhi to Ajmer and then a local taxi or bus to Pushkar.
Local buses, taxis, and private vehicles are readily available for travel to Pushkar from nearby cities.
By Train:
The nearest railway station is Ajmer Junction (11 km), which is well-connected to major cities like Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad. From Ajmer, you can hire a taxi or take a local bus to reach Pushkar.
- From Ajmer: Taxis or auto-rickshaws from Ajmer to Pushkar are easily available.
By Air:
The nearest airport is Jaipur International Airport (145 km). From Jaipur, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to Pushkar. The drive from Jaipur to Pushkar is around 3 hours.
Best Time to Visit Pushkar
- October to March (Winter): The best time to visit Pushkar is during the winter months when the weather is cool and pleasant, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 30°C. This is the peak tourist season and is ideal for sightseeing, outdoor activities, and exploring the city.
- April to June (Summer): Summer in Pushkar can be quite hot, with temperatures soaring up to 40°C or more. This is not the best time to visit unless you’re looking for off-season discounts and fewer crowds.

- Take a walk around Pushkar Lake, attend the evening aarti at Pushkar Lake and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as the sun sets.
- Visit the Brahma Temple, and soak in the spiritual vibe of the town.
- Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant serving delicious vegetarian food. We loved the food at Purana Marwadi Kumawat Bhonjnalay.
Day 2: Temples & Cultural Exploration
- Start the day with a visit to Savitri Temple, which offers panoramic views of the town and the surrounding hills. You can take a cable car or trek up to the temple.
- Explore the Rangji Temple, one of the most famous temples in Pushkar, and visit the Varaha Temple.
- Visit the Pushkar Camel Fair Ground (if visiting during the fair season) or take a camel ride through the desert.
