Lonavala being the nearest hill station to Pune is usually flocked over the weekend. More than anything, Lonavala is loved for its pleasant weather. And what can be more exciting is good weather combined with a bunch of good friends. Don’t worry if no one among your friends is ready to go, you can make a bunch of new ones staying at The Hosteller in Lonavala. We visited Lonavala over a weekend from Pune and stayed at The Hosteller Lonavala. Our experience of staying there was pretty good as the place is perfect for those looking for a vibrant weekend.
Here are the reasons why we loved staying at Hosteller Lonavala :-

Location of the Hosteller Lonavala
Located a few kms away from the main market of Lonavala, The Hosteller is in the middle of lush greenery. The location of The Hosteller Lonavala makes it a quaint and nice stay in Lonavala.
If you are coming by train, The Hosteller is just 3.5 km from Lonavala Railway Station. One can easily hire an auto from the railway station and reach there.
We started our trip from Pune, hired a zoom car and reached Lonavala in less than 1.5 hours.
Community Manager to guide you through the city
The best thing we loved about The Hosteller Lonavala is the community manager who is always ready to help plan your trip better. The community manager took us to Lonavala Lake, Bhushi Dam and Tiger’s viewpoint which sorted our trip to Lonavala. At Tiger’s view point, the community manager even showed us the offbeat location from where the view comes unobstructed.
Common deck to vibe with fellow travelers
That was our sole purpose of choosing a stay with The Hosteller – to connect with fellow travelers. Hotels may have all the comfort but connecting with people is a hard time there. Hostels are designed in such a way that you get to connect with people. We made a bunch of friends, went on a walk and played guitar with them during our 2 days stay there.
Swimming Pool at The Hosteller
The Hosteller Lonavala has a cute swimming pool. After a tiring day of hiking excursions, it is such a nice way to relax and enjoy your trip.
Food at The Hosteller Lonavala
Hosteller Lonavala has an in-house restaurant. The menu is limited but the food tastes good. We had their Kabab, Sandwich, Poha, Paratha and Thali and all of them tasted well. Just be sure to tell them in advance about the meals you are going to have as they make it accordingly.
Room at The Hosteller Lonavala
The Hosteller Lonavala has both private rooms and dorms. We stayed in a private room. The room was nice and had an attached bathroom. The main door of the room opens up into a common balcony area. If you are a solo budget traveler, getting a bed in a dorm is a better idea.
Not only Lonavala, The Hosteller chain has their stays throughout India. If you are also looking for a budget stay, this could be a nice option. You can book your stay with the Hosteller here.
